Valley Woods Design is me and my sidekick, turning ideas into real things.
Hi — I’m the one behind Valley Woods Design. What started as a way to explore 3D printing and laser engraving has grown into a small, meaningful shop where I get to combine creativity with hands-on making. I’m not a big brand or a warehouse — just someone who really enjoys designing cool things and building them from scratch.
Sometimes I’m working on a new custom light-up block. Other days, I’m engraving wood coasters, designing keychains, or running a test print while my young son, Bryant, gives me his honest feedback (and usually has a project of his own going, too).
What I Make
Valley Woods is a mix of two creative worlds:
Laser-engraved goods – coasters, gifts, keepsakes, company merchandise, and more
3D-printed designs – from custom keychains and decor to nostalgic collectibles and tech-inspired builds
Each item is made right here in Illinois — built by hand (and printer and laser), packed by me, and sent your way with care.
Why I Do This
Because making things that mean something feels better than buying stuff that doesn’t.
Because I like creating more than consuming.
Because when someone gets excited about a product I designed and built — that’s the good stuff.
Where It All Happens
I’m based in Bismarck, Illinois, working out of a small home setup surrounded by filament rolls, wood blanks, and project notes. Bryant’s usually nearby helping test ideas, offering naming suggestions, or just being part of the process.
This shop is more than just a side hustle — it’s a way to share things I love building, and a way to show my kid what’s possible when you mix creativity with curiosity.
Let’s Make Something Awesome
Whether you found Valley Woods Design through Etsy, a gift, or pure internet wandering — I’m glad you’re here. Take a look around. Ask a question. Send a custom request if you’ve got one. Let’s make something that actually feels personal.
Thanks for stopping by,
—
